The 15th Season of IPL Review
The Indian Premier League 2022, also known as IPL 15, is a grand event that cricket fans look forward to. It is a professional Twenty20 cricket league founded by the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI).
This season of the tournament will see an expansion of the number of franchises from 8 to 10.Thus, Lucknow Super Giants and Ahmedabad will join IPL 2022. This will be the second season of IPL with 10 teams. The last such tournament was in 2011.
The BCCI has yet to confirm some details of the league, including the date and schedule of matches. As of now, the likely opening date for IPL 2022 is April 2. The final date is scheduled for June 3, 2022.

During that time, a total of 74 matches will be played between the teams.
Where will IPL 2022 be held?
The BCCI president said that everything is ready for the Indian Premier League 2022 in India. It will be recalled that the previous two years, due to the coronavirus, IPL matches were held in the UAE very successfully. However, like the BCCI, the tournament participants as well as the fans wanted the new IPL season to be held in India as in the previous years.
The matches will be held in the country only if the Covid-19 situation does not become critical. Places like Maharashtra, Mumbai and Pune are being considered as match venues. The playoff venues will be decided later.
If the disease risk situation worsens, the IPL matches can be moved to other places. The United Arab Emirates and South Africa are being considered as such places.
IPL 2022 Schedule
Since the Indian Premier League 2022 will feature 10 teams, the number of matches has increased from 60 to 74. Each of the participating teams will participate in a total of 14 matches.
BCCI will provide the exact match schedule dates after the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. As mentioned above, IPL 2022 will begin its season on April 2, 2022. On the same day, the first match between Chennai Super Kings will face last year’s league winner Kolkota Knight Riders in Chennai. The final match is scheduled for early June 2022.

IPL Captain and Players List
